Jamshid Varjavandi

Jamshid Varjavandi was born in 1948 in Tehran, Iran. After graduating from college, he started his career as a senior flight crew scheduler in Iran Air (National Iranian Airline) in 1968. Later on, in 1973 he began working as a room clerk in Royal Tehran Hilton, a 544-bedroom hotel in the capital of Iran. By the time he was 30 years old, he graduated from the Career Development Institute of Hilton International in Montreal, Canada, and also gained vast experience in management positions, as he had been promoted multiple times.
After moving to Italy in 1979 and working his way through a few temporary jobs, he was eventually tasked with setting up and running the Centre for Bahá’í Studies in Acuto, Italy given his extensive experience in managing a hospitality business. Ever since he has been involved in managing his conference centre while helping and advising young entrepreneurs and vacation rental start-ups on how to grow and scale-up.
